We work very hard to preserve your privacy and security, and we do our best to be as transparent as possible in explaining how we use your data in providing our Services. Please contact us if you have any questions at

Information we get from your use of our Services.

We collect information from you in the following ways:

  1. Information that is provided automatically through your device (“Logged Information”)

Logged Information is device-specific information such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, browser, language, and wireless or mobile network information, if applicable; and the date and time that you submit data to us, or receive data from us.

  1. Information that you manually submit to us (“Submitted Information”)

When you register for an account, you will have the option to register using your Facebook Account or your Gmail account, or to register through a separate Moola account. When you register a separate Moola account, we receive your phone number and email address, and other personal information that we ask for and that you provide and we receive. We also ask for, and you may at your discretion provide, other personal information such as your birthday, or shopping preferences.  Depending on your settings, we may also collect information about your location through your device’s GPS functionality.

  1. Information from third-party providers (“Third-Party Information”)

If you create your account or login to your account using Facebook or Gmail, you will be forwarded to their respective login pages to connect to your Facebook or Gmail profile (note that your login information is not disclosed to us). Once you are logged in, you will be asked to connect your Facebook or Gmail profile with your Moola account. You will also be notified about what information from your Facebook or Gmail profile will be visible and available to Moola. This is the “Third-Party Information” that we collect, and it includes personal information that you have submitted to Facebook or Gmail, and depending on your settings, may also include personal information about your friends or information that Facebook or Gmail has determined about you based on your use of their services. If you do not want Moola to have access to this information, we suggest that you create a separate Moola account and refrain from logging into our Services via Facebook or Gmail.

  1. Information about your use of Services (“Use Information”)

In addition to Logged Information, we also collect information about your use of our Services, including, but not limited to:

  • information about the Cards that you store to the Moola app, such as the name of the Card Merchant, dollar value of the Card, and barcode number
  • the number and type of transactions that you make, and for what amounts;
  • your frequency of use, including how long you spend on the Moola App, or the length of your sessions; and
  • Point of Sale provider information, such as barcode type and contact information.

The Logged Information, Submitted Information, Third-Party Information, and Use Information, together, is the “Collected Information”.

Aggregate Data does not include information that is personally identifiable to you. For example, based on your Collected Information, we might show you offers that you are more likely to enjoy based on your preferences.

Communicate with you. We may use the Collected Information to keep you posted on Moola’s latest product announcements, sales and promotional offers, software updates, and any messages you have waiting on Moola.

We may in our discretion share or sell the Aggregate Data with our merchants, partners, vendors, service providers, or other business entities for business or commercial reasons.

If another company acquires our business or assets, that company will have the Collected Information and the Aggregate Data and will assume the rights and obligations regarding such information as allowed by this Privacy Policy.

We store, use, and maintain the Collected Information and Aggregate Data using procedures designed to limit its loss, theft, or unauthorized access, use, modification, copying or disclosure. When you enter your login authentication on Moola, we encrypt the transmission of that information between the app and the server. We provide physical electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the Collected Information and Aggregate Data. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, or improve our Services. As well, when applicable, we have contracts in place with our third-party suppliers that obligate such suppliers to protect the confidentiality of the Collected Information and Aggregate Data. You are also responsible for helping to protect the security of your information and having a strong password that you’ve not used in other places is important.

Our Privacy Policy applies to all the Services offered by Moola, its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates.
